Visit Jorhat to experience the heritage of Assam's tea estates before taking a ferry across the powerful Brahmaputra River to reach Majuli, the largest river island in the world. There, soak yourself in the spiritual culture of Vaishnavite monasteries (Satras), visit tribal villages, and relish sunsets at their best. The journey then introduces you to Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh, a UNESCO World Heritage location, where pine-covered hillscapes, paddy fields, and Apatani tribal way of life beckon. Guwahati arrival and transfer to hotel, stay for overnight.
Guwahati local sightseeing (Sankardev Kalakhetra and Bashistha Ashram). After that transfer to Kaziranga National Park (about 4.5 hours drive / 195 km).
Early in the morning Jungle Safari in the park (subject to availability) and back to your resort. Later visit local attractions in Kaziranga and overnight stay at your resort. NOTE: Kaziranga National Park is closed (annual closure) from May to October.
Morning transfer to Jorhat (about 3.5 hrs / 135 km). Visit the tea research institute and the Gymkhana Club. Stay overnight at Jorhat.
After breakfast proceed to Majuli. Take a ferry from Nimati Ghat to Majuli Islands (included in this package). Rest of the day and overnight at leisure / explore the island at own. Majuli offers a blend of cultural exploration and natural beauty. You can visit Vaishnavite monasteries like Kamalabari and Auniati, explore Mishing villages, witness traditional dances, and enjoy boat rides on the Brahmaputra. Majuli also boasts beautiful sunsets, serene beaches, and opportunities for birdwatching.
Today you will be free for visiting Satras in Majuli, such as- Dakhinpat Satra, Auniati Satra, Kamalabari Satra, Garmur Satra and Samaguri Satra. Overnight stay at this culturally rich, amazing island.
After early breakfast transfer to Ziro (Arunachal Pradesh), which is approximately 5 hrs drive (nearly 150 km). Check in to hotel for refreshments and afternoon visit the Shivalinga (maintained by Zoological Survey of India). Later back to hotel and stay for overnight.
Explore the valley, visit UNESCO World Heritages sites including Haang Village and other tourists spots of Ziro and stay overnight at your hotel.
You will be free today for own activities / to explore the valley at your own (vehicle will be with you for day activities, but not for personal activities). Overnight stay at Ziro.
