This pilgrimage is tailored to travelers with limited time but wanting to cover an appreciable amount of Buddhist heritage. The tour commences in Bodhgaya and includes Rajgir, Nalanda, Vaishali, Kushinagar, Lumbini, and Sravasti and concludes in Varanasi. Visit the Mahabodhi Temple and Bodhgaya monastery, the ancient university at Nalanda, and the relics in Vaishali. Visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple and Rambhar Stupa at Kushinagar and Lumbini will bring you into contact with the birthplace of Buddha. Sravasti and Varanasi round off the itinerary holistically with sacred monastery and stupa sites as well as the sacred Sarnath site. This carefully structured pilgrimage blends history, religion, and cultural experiences in seven days.
Arrival at Gaya airport, then transfer to hotel in Bodhgaya for overnight stay.
Full day at Bodhgaya. Visit Mahabodhi Temple, Sujata Village, Niranjana river, 80 feet high lord Buddha Statue & Various international monasteries. All meals and overnight stay at Bodhgaya.
After breakfast at hotel drive to Rajgir (2 hrs) and visit Gridhkutta (Vulture's peak), World Peace Stupa, Venuvanaram & Bimbisar Prison. Lunch at a restaurant in Rajgir. Continue drive to Nalanda (30 min) to visit the ruins of the world's first residential University. Thereafter drive back to Vaishali (4 hrs). Dinner and overnight stay at Vaishali.
After breakfast at hotel Vaishali sightseeing. Visit the Relic Stupa and the Kutagarasala Vihara. After lunch proceed to Kushinagar (6 hrs). On arrival at Kushinagar check in at hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast at hotel proceed for visiting Mahaparinirvana Temple (where Buddha took his last breathe) and Rambhar Stupa (cremation site of lord Buddha). Back to hotel for lunch. After lunch drive (4 hrs) to Lumbini (in Nepal). (Kindly obtain double entry visa for India & single entry visa for Nepal). On arrival, check in at hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast at hotel visit the Holy Birth place of Lord Buddha Mayadevi Temple and Ashokan Pillar. Early lunch and then drive to Sravasti (6 hrs). Enroute visit Kapilvastu (30 min). On arrival check in at hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast at hotel proceed for visit to Saheth (Jetvanaram) and Maheth (Angulimal Caves). Lunch at hotel and then drive to Varanasi (8 1/2 hrs). On arrival check in to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Early morning boat ride in the river Ganges. After breakfast proceed to Sarnath (20 min), Visit Dhamekha Stupa and Deer park. Afternoon back to hotel for lunch. Timely transfer to airport to catch the flight for onwards destination.
